Sheffield Doc/Fest to host UK premiere of Life Itself

Life Itself will premiere in the United Kingdom at Sheffield Doc/Fest this June. The film's director Steve James, whose The Interrupters won the festival's Jury Prize in 2011, will return to attend screenings on June 8th and June 10th. Kartemquin's Director of Communications and Distribution, Tim Horsburgh, is also attending Sheffield as a "Decision Maker" delegate of Doc/Fest's Meet Market and Crossover Market sessions. This May, the 2014 Cannes Film Festival will host the International premiere of Life Itself. The film will then screen at the Documentary Edge Festival in New Zealand, held in May/June, and the Sydney Film Festival, held in June. The Nantucket Film Festival will also screen the film in late June. The film will be released in US theaters in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, and be made available on VOD on July 4th. More US festivals and international dates will be announced very soon. International rights for the film have been acquired by Magnolia Pictures. You can follow the film on Facebook and Twitter.
