Seven On Beauty NYC screenings start Spring festival run

On Beauty Rick Guidotti

Joanna Rudnick's award-winning documentary short On Beauty screens seven times at the Reelabilities NY Disabilities Film Festival from March 13-18.

The Audience Award winner for Best Short film at the 2014 Chicago International Film Festival, On Beauty follows photographer and activist Rick Guidotti as he uses his lens to challenge convention and redefine beauty with the help of two extraordinary women. The film has also been recently announced as an official selection of the upcoming Geneva Film Festival in Illinois; the Cleveland International Film Festival; the American Documentary Film Festival in Palm Springs; and the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival in Sonoma.*

Many of the Reelabilities NY events are free as the festival celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Click below for details on each or see a full festival schedule:

The film has also already been very popular at other Reelabilities festivals and events in Houston and Cincinnati (watch Rick Guidotti on Cincinnati's WLWT, stating "I've never photographed a disease. I've always only photographed beauty.") earlier this year, and we are excited for the film to return to Rick's home town, where the film was also a big hit at DOC NYC in November 2014.

Expect more On Beauty dates to be announced soon! Help bring the film to your town.
