Almost There is just one of nine "Festival Choice" films selected to screen in official competition at EIDF. Co-directors Dan Rybicky and Aaron Wickenden will travel to Seoul for the festival, attending the screenings on Thursday, August 27th and Sunday, August 30th. We're delighted to learn that the film's title for the Korean audience will be translated to Peter's Fantastic Atelier or Peter's Beyond Imagination Workshop!
To mark this momentous occasion, the filmmakers asked artist Jenna Caravello, the talented designer of the film's unique motion graphics, to specially design a poster for the Korean audience. Here are the spectacular results - which is your favorite (they can only print up one to take with them)?!
Founded in 2004 by the Korea television channel EBS, and billed as "the only documentary festival in the world with TV broadcasting and cinema screening," over the past ten years EIDF has become one of the most prestigious festivals in the world.

For those in the USA, Almost There's next confirmed festival appearance will be at the inaugural Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival (MNFF), taking place in Vermont August 27-30. Get more details. Many other US festival screenings are also ahead in 2015.
Almost There explores the complicated ethics of the filmmakers' discovery, curation, and caretaking of "outsider" artist Peter Anton across several years. Stay tuned to the film's website, Facebook and Twitter for more upcoming festival and screening announcements through this year, and email us to set up your own screening of the film.
The great people at EIDF have designed their own Almost There poster. We have no words to describe it, just love. Amazing!
EDIT 8/19/15: For the premiere at EIDF, Aaron and Dan wanted to hire vocal talent to overdub our trailer. Things didn't go as planned...
