As Goes Janesville is a Best of the Midwest nominee

The Midwest Independent Film Festival has nominated As Goes Janesville for Best Feature and Best Editing (for Leslie Simmer) at the annual Best of the Midwest Awards, to be held in Chicago on December 4th. The Best Editing nomination for Leslie Simmer follows from her 2008 win in the same category for In the Family. In 2010, Steve James won Best Director at the BMAs for No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson. We are hard at work on finishing the DVD of As Goes Janesville, due for release in early 2013. The film is also due for re-broadcast on PBS Independent Lens on February 4th, 2013.
