The Last Pullman Car Coming to Chicago PBS and DVD

As part of our ongoing mission to bring our back catalog to new audiences, Kartemquin is proud to announce that The Last Pullman Car is now available for pre-order on DVD in the Kartemquin store and is scheduled to air on WTTW11 Chicago PBS this Labor Day at 10pm.

The DVD features a new digital transfer of the 1983 film, which follows the efforts of United Steelworkers Local 1834 to stop the closure of the Pullman-Standard Plant in Chicago. Also included with the DVD is a video of a 2011 Q&A with the film’s main subjects and a study guide from the original release.
This coming Labor Day, September 3rd, WTTW11 will air The Last Pullman Car at 10pm.  This is the first time the film has aired on television since its original release.
The film will also be available for streaming VOD and will have a Chicago launch screening. Details will be announced in the near future.

Gordon, Wonderful. I just posted this news to my TV LAB Facebook page. Great that you are doing that. I must have told you that Ed Sadlowski took me to Pullman when I profiled him with Studs Terkel for Assignment America on PBS.
