No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson has collected perhaps its most prestigious honor yet, being selected as one of the films in the 2011 American Documentary Showcase, an accolade which will see copies of the film made available to all United States government Embassies worldwide to view as an example of "the value of documentaries in fostering understanding and cooperation, dialogue and debate."
No Crossover was one of 17 films selected from a field of 150 criteria-meeting documentaries by the Showcase judges. The American Documentary Showcase is a cultural presentation by the United States of America, funded by, and as a cooperative program with, the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of State, and administered by University Film and Video Association (UVFA). Steve James will also travel to certain screenings of the film throughout the year around the globe as part of accepting the award. Visit the showcase website or read more about the 2011 award in this article in the New York Times.
No Crossover is available on DVD from the Kartemquin Store.
