The 3rd annual Kartemquin Spring Showcase invites you to enjoy exclusive previews of never-before-seen footage from four of our upcoming documentaries, and give your feedback directly to the filmmakers in the theater and in a post-screening reception. Serving as both a window into our process and an opportunity to impact the future of these works-in-progress, this event embodies the Kartemquin spirit of collaborative creation and meaningful audience engagement.

Steve James Brings his Docs to USC & BYOD

This Friday, Steve James will present a special screening of The Interrupters at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, followed by discussion with USC alum Shaft director John Singleton, and The Interrupters stars Ameena Matthews and Eddie Bocanegra. The event is now sold out. Tomorrow, Steve will also present Stevie at USC SCA (get more info & RSVP).

But if you can't attend, perhaps an online video interview of Steve James by award-winning documentary filmmaker Ondi Timoner (Dig! and We Live in Public) will help compensate!

Kartemquin connections at CIFF

The 48th Chicago International Film Festival begins tomorrow night, and a number of events and screenings will have a KTQ connection. We encourage you to see as many films as you can at our hometown fest, but especially these!
