On July 26, the City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events will host a special Kartemquin Night at Millennium Park in honor of our 50th Birthday. The evening will consist of a free screening of Kartemquin's classic 1968 documentary Inquiring Nuns, in which two nuns walk the streets of downtown Chicago asking citizens, "Are you happy?" Kartemquin co-founder Gordon Quinn and Jacqueline Stewart (University of Chicago's Professor in Cinema and Media Studies and the interim director (2015-16) of the Gray Center for Arts and Inquiry) will be interviewed at the event by journalist Ray Pride (Newcity’s Film Editor). Quinn, who co-directed the film with Jerry Temaner, will show a clip from his forthcoming film '63 Boycott. Find out more on the City of Chicago website.
