Monday's annual meeting of the Community of Congregations in Oak Park will be a discussion around the film The Interrupters. The meeting will focus on the topic of violence in communities and how CeaseFire has worked to diffuse community tensions. The program is free but donations are accepted. Steve James will host a screening of the Oscar-winning documentary Harlan County, USA (Barbara Kopple, 1976) and his film, The Interrupters, for the third installment of Robert Elder's “The Film That Changed My Life” series (http://filmchangedmylife.com/) and will be present for discussion after the films.
