We are honored that this event will be featured at ExploreChicago.com as a "175 Days to Love Chicago" event in celebration of the City's 175th birthday!
Two new documentary films that were incubated in Kartemquin's KTQ Labs: Feedback Screenings program will screen in Chicago this January at the Gene Siskel Film Center.
Filmmakers and CeaseFire Illinois staff will attend many of the screenings. The Thursday, October 20, 8:15 pm screening will be a benefit for CeaseFire, with the Gene Siskel Film Center donating their entire share of the box office to the organization.
The Interrupters has added a new award to its roster: it is now the all-time box-office champion at Chicago's Gene Siskel Film Center! The film has been the hottest ticket in town since opening there on August 12th, and other than one early afternoon screening on the first Saturday (before the incredible word of mouth kicked in) has sold out every single screening - including 3 additional screenings that the Siskel added to cope with the demand!
A Good Man, the award-winning documentary that delves inside dancer/choreographer Bill T. Jones's creative process, will soon be making its Chicago premiere!
We're excited to announce that the film will have a week-long run at the Gene Siskel Film Center from Sept. 23-29. Reserve your tickets now!
