Milking the Rhino is screening at Theatre N as part of the On Screen/In Person tour sponsored by the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. The Maasai tribe of Kenya and Namibia’s Himba—two of Earth’s oldest cattle cultures—are in the midst of upheaval. Emerging from a century of ‘white man conservation’ that turned their land into game reserves and fueled resentment towards wildlife, they are now vying for a piece of the wildlife-tourism pie. Milking the Rhino will screen at Santa Fe Community College as part of their Earth Day events. A first screening will show from 10 AM to noon, followed by a discussion. A re-screening at 1 PM will be followed by a Q&A with co-producer Jeannie Magill.
