Today sees the launch of The School Project, a new documentary series on the public education system in Chicago.
The transmedia launch includes a sold out live event tonight at 7pm at the Chicago History Museum, online release via http://www.schoolprojectfilm.com and the websites of all our outreach partners, and broadcast on two Chicago TV stations, WTTW and CAN TV.

Join fellow documentary filmmakers for a two-day event held inside the loop at Chicago's premier filmmaking institution, Colombia College. Each day details cutting edge and contemporary documentary filmmaking techniques, strategies and success stories, from conception through to completion.
The event will feature a variety of documentary fimmakers, including some of Kartemquin's own!
