A Good Man has its World Television Premiere tonight on American Masters on PBS, as a part of their PBS Fall Arts Festival. The film is set to air today at 9pm E.T. (check local listings). The DVD of the film will also be released today.

These are busy times at KTQ. Eleven different Kartemquin documentaries are screening around the USA this week alone, with over forty cumulative screenings total (we have to estimate because we don't know yet just how many times The Interrupters might screen this weekend)!

As excitement builds for the 9pm (ET/PT), November 11th PBS American Masters premiere of A Good Man, a number of out-takes and extra scenes are now online.

A Good Man, Kartemquin's new film about legendary choreographer Bill T. Jones, will screen this Friday at the Woods Hole Film Festival. Co-Director Gordon Quinn is attending, and will also be giving a presentation on "fair use" for documentary filmmakers (get tickets and info).

A Good Man will have a week long theatrical run in Chicago at the Gene Siskel Film Center from September 23-29. Further details are still to be confirmed but co-Directors Bob Hercules and Gordon Quinn will be present for the premiere along with other crew members from Kartemquin and Media Process Group. The film about choreographer Bill T. Jones' creation of a dance-theater Ravinia Festival performance about the life of Abraham Lincoln screened twice this past week to sell-out crowds at the Silverdocs Film Festival.

11/11/11 - That's the date to remember for the world television premiere of A Good Man on AMERICAN MASTERS on PBS!
The film about choreographer Bill T. Jones' creation of a dance-theatre piece about the life of Abraham Lincoln will air at 9pm on Friday November 11th (Veteran's Day) as part of the PBS Fall Arts "Festival" programming, with the WTTW broadcast representing Chicago's Arts scene.
