A Good Man, the award-winning documentary that delves inside dancer/choreographer Bill T. Jones's creative process, will soon be making its Chicago premiere!

A Good Man received an honorable mention for the Audience Award from the Woods Hole Film Festival, where co-director Gordon Quinn presented the film to an enthusiatic crowd last weekend. The film also received a positive mention in Filmmaker Magazine's coverage of the festival, which stated:

A Good Man, Kartemquin's new film about legendary choreographer Bill T. Jones, will screen this Friday at the Woods Hole Film Festival. Co-Director Gordon Quinn is attending, and will also be giving a presentation on "fair use" for documentary filmmakers (get tickets and info).

The Kartemquin documentaries A Good Man, Prisoner of Her Past and Typeface will all screen at the 2011 Ventura Film Festival in Ventura, California this July!

A Good Man will have a week long theatrical run in Chicago at the Gene Siskel Film Center from September 23-29. Further details are still to be confirmed but co-Directors Bob Hercules and Gordon Quinn will be present for the premiere along with other crew members from Kartemquin and Media Process Group. The film about choreographer Bill T. Jones' creation of a dance-theater Ravinia Festival performance about the life of Abraham Lincoln screened twice this past week to sell-out crowds at the Silverdocs Film Festival.
