The International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) has announced its 2011 line-up, which includes A Good Man and The Interrupters. The festival, regularly cited as Europe's premier documentary event, runs November 16-27. This will mark the 7th festival of our 45th anniversary year in which the two films have screened together, and the two will be part of 7 total Kartemquin films screening at IDFA.
A new Bill T. Jones: A Good Man video is now available for viewing via the PBS website. Watch renowned choreographer Bill T. Jones discuss what the film represents to him by clicking here. The film, which follows Mr. Jones over a two year time frame as he faces the challenges of creating an original dance-theater piece in honor of Abraham Lincoln's Bicentennial, will air on PBS American Masters on 11/11/11.
A Good Man screens on October 15th at 7:00pm at Georgia Public Broadcasting in Atlanta Georgia. Producer Joanna Rudnick will participate in a Skype or live online chat session following the screening.
