Emily joins Kartemquin from Film at Lincoln Center (f/k/a Film Society at Lincoln Center), where she was the Assistant Director of Development from 2017 through 2021. In this role, Emily oversaw all institutional and government funding as well as the membership and patron programs, day-to-day department operations, and donor experiences at special events and festivals including the New York Film Festival and the Chaplin Award Gala. Prior to FLC, Emily was the Director of Communications and Development for The LAMP (Learning About Multimedia Project), a grassroots media literacy education organization which served marginalized communities throughout New York City.
Emily is thrilled to be back in Chicago, having grown up in the suburbs and getting her B.F.A. in Theater Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also has her M.F.A. in Dramaturgy and Script Development from Columbia University.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys going to museums and movies, knitting, puzzling, baking, running and cuddling with her dog and cat.
