All The Queen's Horses comes to Netflix July 10

Kartemquin is excited to share award-winning All The Queen's Horses by Kelly Richmond Pope will be available to stream on Netflix from Tuesday, July 10. All The Queen's Horses tells the story of Rita Crundwell, the perpetrator of the largest case of municipal fraud in American history. As city comptroller of Dixon, IL (population 15,838), Crundwell stole $53 million dollars of public funds across 20 years. She used the funds to build one of the nation’s leading quarter horse breeding empires, all while forcing staff cuts, police budget slashing, and neglect of public infrastructure. All The Queen's Horses investigates her crime, her lavish lifestyle and the small town she left in her wake. Continued

Keep Talking, the award-winning debut feature documentary from director Karen Lynn Weinberg, will be available to view on select local PBS stations through PBS Plus beginning July 2nd! PBS Plus is a syndicated programming service for public television stations. Viewers can access Keep Talking by checking their local PBS listings, or by submitting a request to their local station for Keep Talking. 2018 Diverse Voices in Docs (DVID) annual Funders Panel brings industry leaders to Chicago

Leading documentary industry funders will visit Chicago on Saturday, June 23rd to assess the eight in-progress projects being made by Midwestern documentary makers of color through Diverse Voices in Docs (DVID), a nine-month professional mentorship program organized by Kartemquin Films and the Community Film Workshop of Chicago. Learn more about each new member of the Kartemquin community below: Julia Davis Julia Davis is a filmmaker and animator from the northern suburbs of Chicago. She is a recent graduate of Oberlin College, where she majored in Cinema Studies with a minor in Studio Art. She also studied at Prague Film School in the Czech Republic, earning a certificate in narrative filmmaking.
