2018 Diverse Voices in Docs (DVID) annual Funders Panel brings industry leaders to Chicago

Leading documentary industry funders will visit Chicago on Saturday, June 23rd to assess the eight in-progress projects being made by Midwestern documentary makers of color through Diverse Voices in Docs (DVID), a nine-month professional mentorship program organized by Kartemquin Films and the Community Film Workshop of Chicago. Kartemquin is excited to announce the six talented interns that will join us during our Summer 2018 internship term. Learn more about each new member of the Kartemquin community below: Julia Davis Julia Davis is a filmmaker and animator from the northern suburbs of Chicago. She is a recent graduate of Oberlin College, where she majored in Cinema Studies with a minor in Studio Art. She also studied at Prague Film School in the Czech Republic, earning a certificate in narrative filmmaking.
