Tonight: Xan Aranda on WTTW Chicago Tonight
July 26, 2012

Kartemquin filmmaker Xan Aranda will be interviewed on WTTW's Chicago Tonight this evening at 7pm. Xan will be discussing her films Andrew Bird: Fever Year (a KTQ Labs graduate), and her forthcoming Mormon Movie.
Next week, Xan will be releasing the first public demo of Mormon Movie and launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund the film's production. The documentary focuses on her own relationship with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the story of her parents, and the history of the Brigham Young University Motion Picture Studio. Read more about it here and follow the film on Facebook and Twitter.
Andrew Bird: Fever Year is playing at the Music Box in Chicago on August 1st. Since the film has a festival-only distribution deal, this will be it's final Chicago screening for the foreseeable future. Kartemquin staff/associates Liz Kaar, Aaron Wickenden and Peter Gilbert all played major roles in creating the film, and we highly recommend it!
Edit 7/26: Watch the video of Xan Aranda's appearance.
