On September 15th in Chicago, Kartemquin Films celebrates 45 years of letting the people tell the story. Our event at the Metro will honor Kartemquin's legacy, and support our future as a documentary powerhouse, producing important, quality social-issue films and filmmakers. 
 
We invite you to join us for cocktails, hors d'ouerves, and a rare opportunity to engage with independent artists and enjoy an exclusive sneak preview of new work that we will be completing in 2012. Like our films themselves, the event will celebrate storytelling and positive social change, and will draw a number of important guests from throughout our history.
