Kartemquin to receive 2010 Altgeld Award for Free Speech

As winners of the 2010 Altgeld Award for Free Speech, Kartemquin will have a number of staff in attendance for the Newberry Library's annual Bughouse Square Debates, including artistic director Gordon Quinn and executive director Justine Nagan. Illinois Senator Mattie Hunter and Illinois Representative Ken Dunkin will present the award. The event is free and open the public.
