Jacinta Banks is Kartemquin Films’ Part-time Distribution Manager.  Jacinta’s career to date includes ten years of marketing, sales, promotions and brand management experience.  After a year in pharmaceutical sales, Jacinta jump-started her marketing career at Kraft Foods where she spent almost seven years in the promotional marketing department.  Jacinta left Kraft Foods to attend the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she was selected as a 2005 Kilts Scholar.  Jacinta earned an M.B.A. from the Chicago Booth School of Business in 2006, which included concentrations in Marketing, Strategy and Entrepreneurship.  Upon graduation, Jacinta joined the brand management team at Sara Lee Corporation, where she launched the successful Ball Park® Angus Beef Franks product line.  Recently, Jacinta made the decision to leave her career at Sara Lee to follow her heart.  Along the journey she discovered Kartemquin Films and is delighted to be a part of the team.

Jacinta is currently exploring the best application of marketing principles to the Kartemquin Films’ business model.  She believes that the most important aspect of successful marketing is to start with a great product and Jacinta is thrilled to join such a highly regarded company in an exciting industry.  Jacinta is confident that her marketing knowledge will serve her well at Kartemquin.

Jacinta’s past hobbies have typically doubled as creative outlets and have included community theatre roles, theatre courses, directing, writing, editing, videography and music.  Jacinta has also enjoyed the opportunity to teach marketing courses at the Westwood College Chicago Loop campus. Jacinta is enjoying the challenge of merging her business skills with her creativity to make a significant contribution as a member of the Kartemquin Films’ team.
